Santa Barbara Fiber Arts Guild meets the1st Saturday of each month at the SHIFCO Recreation Room - 418 Santa Fe Place, Santa Barbara -Business meeting begins at 10:00 a.m., followed by the program at 10:30 a.m.

June 7 - Guild meeting - THE GREEN MEETING
Guild members Jana Julian, Claire Chytilo and Phyllis Haecker
will share with us how to how to make stunning designer envelopes and boxes from colorful papers, and it won't cost you a cent. .Please bring several pieces of colorful paper measuring at least 8 ½ x ll, such as pictures from old calendars or magazines, maps, or wrapping paper."

LEARN to make some fun stuff. Please bring calendars and magazines to cut
up, scissors, glue stick, pencil, and ruler.

BRING anything you've created from "previously used materials: jewelry,
bags,ornaments, baskets, rugs, stuffed animals, clothing, etc.

CHALLENGE yourself to complete a new "recycled" project between now and then
to show us.

SHARE with us your best ideas for reducing our carbon footprint.


 

 

 

July 5 - Guild Meeting - FIBERVISION

Fibervision is a collective group of California quilt artists who reside in Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, and Ventura counties. Fibervision promotes the quilt as art, and members participate in collective and individual exhibits, as well as a monthly meeting. We will cover a variety of topics including inspiration, creativity and techniques with a lot of examples
