Membership

Currently the guild meets on the first Saturday of the month in the Shifco recreation room at 418 Santa Fe Place on the Mesa.

Our programs cover a wide range of fiber activities, often involving speakers with national and international reputations. Some months we offer workshops or demonstrations. Our meetings are open to the public without charge.

Membership dues are $25 per year, $12.50 for junior members under 18 years of age. Benefits of membership include a newsletter, reduced rates on workshops, borrowing rights from our extensive library of books and monographs, opportunities to attend special interest study groups (such as spinning, which meets twice a month), participation in group shows and in conferences.

Guild public service projects include:

Demonstrations at historic re-enactments, fairs, school events Knit hats for Cottage Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Knit hats for chemotherapy patients, Breast Resource Center Handmade children' s blankets for national Linus Project. Members assist in classrooms and at local churches.
